For tribes, programs and community groups

A pop-up, planned with you.

I start by listening: you tell me what your community needs, and I bring a one-day pop-up built around it. Every donated item is free to the people who come.

What a visit brings

Clothing for every age, and the work of the day.

What I bring depends on the donations on hand, so we plan it together before the day. Depending on how many people come, each person takes five to ten items.

  • Clothing for infants, children, teens, adults and elders
  • Shoes, coats, winter accessories, blankets, bedding and hygiene essentials
  • A conversation beforehand about sizes, quantities and priorities
  • Transport, unloading, setup, distribution, breakdown and cleanup, the same day
On tribal and other lands

Your community leads.

Sonoma's Closet recognizes tribal sovereignty and respects local leadership, cultural protocols, and community preferences. I coordinate only with authorized representatives, obtain the site permissions required, and follow the tribal and local requirements that apply. Your community and its hosts set the priorities; I do not assume what is needed.

How it works

Five steps, from hello to a clean site.

  1. An introduction

We meet, and I make sure I am talking with the person authorized to invite us.

  2. What your community needs

Sizes, quantities, the season, and how many people you expect.

  3. Everything in writing

The site, the date, the hours, the scope and the fee, confirmed before the day.

  4. I get ready

I sort the donated clothing around what you asked for and plan the day.

  5. The day itself

I bring it, set up, hand it out, pack up and leave the space clean, all in one day.

The fee

One flat fee for the day's work.

The host pays a flat fee that covers running the day: the transport, the staff, the setup and the cleanup. The clothing itself stays free to everyone who comes. I quote the fee for each visit once we know the distance, the size of the crowd, the site and how long the day runs.

Ask about a date

Tell me about your community.

Your organization, a date you have in mind, and how many people you expect. I will write back to set up a first conversation.

This goes straight to Naomi, and to nobody else. How I handle your info.
